PE water supply pipe
The company's products have successfully passed the ASTM E-84 fire test, as well as the quality certification of the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and the Det Norske Veritas (DNV) certification. Under strict quality control in the production process, the product pass rate is as high as 99.8%, and the company has obtained the ISO 9001:2000 quality system certification.
PE water supply pipes have smooth inner walls that remain unchanged over time, resulting in low frictional resistance and energy savings. Pressure losses are approximately 30% lower than those of steel pipes, allowing for the use of smaller pipe diameters. They exhibit excellent hygienic properties, contain no additives, and pose no risk of contaminating drinking water. According to ISO standards, polyethylene is classified as Grade 0 (the lowest grade), and it is mold‑resistant. Compared with many other commonly used plastics, polyethylene demonstrates significantly superior resistance to mold growth, and it does not accumulate scale even after prolonged service. PE pipes are suitable for applications where temperatures do not exceed 40°C and nominal pressures remain below 1.6 MPa, making them ideal for general‑purpose pressurized water transmission and potable water distribution. Their primary uses include municipal underground water supply, building water supply and drainage, agricultural irrigation, and landscape‑watering projects. In water‑distribution pipeline systems, PE water pipes are poised to eventually replace UPVC pipes. The comprehensive performance and application areas of PE pipe materials include: temperature resistance—with a very low embrittlement temperature, they can operate reliably between –40°C and 60°C, ensuring that installation and construction during winter do not lead to pipe cracking.
The superior performance of HDPE pipes
Long service life: Under normal operating temperature and pressure conditions, PE pipes can be safely used for more than 50 years.
Outstanding corrosion resistance: With the exception of a few strong oxidizing agents, it is resistant to attack by a wide range of chemical media; no electrochemical corrosion occurs.
Excellent wear resistance: When conveying mineral sand slurry, the wear resistance of PE pipes is more than four times that of steel pipes.
Excellent hygienic performance: PE pipes are manufactured without heavy-metal salt stabilizers, making them non‑toxic, scale‑free, and resistant to bacterial growth, thereby effectively addressing the issue of secondary contamination in urban drinking water.
Superior impact resistance: PE pipes exhibit excellent toughness and high impact strength, so even when subjected to direct pressure from floodwaters, they will not rupture. Moreover, the pipes remain resistant to freezing and cracking even at temperatures as low as –40°C.
Reliable connection performance: The strength of PE pipe joints made by hot‑fusion or electrofusion exceeds that of the base material itself, ensuring that the joint will not separate under soil movement or applied loads.
Excellent construction performance: the pipes are lightweight, welding is straightforward, installation is convenient, and the overall project cost is low; trenchless installation methods can also be employed.
Greater flow capacity: With smooth inner walls and minimal head loss, PE pipes offer a flow capacity that exceeds that of conventional pipes by more than 30%.
